Week 15 (July 21, 1930 - July 27, 1930)

Monday, July 21, 1930

Note: Chicago (AL) claimed outfielder/pinch-hitter Bob Fothergill off waivers from Detroit. To make room on the payroll, Chicago sold outfielder/pinch-hitter Alex Metzler to St. Louis (AL).

Boston (AL) 8 Chicago (AL) (H) 3

The Red Sox were already up 4-0 in the seventh when first baseman Phil Todt (#8) turned on one and smacked a three-run homerun to put the game out of reach. Hod Lisenbee (9-6) took home the win from there.

New York (AL) 6 Cleveland (H) 1

Both teams have been on a bit of a roll recently and both teams were looking to continue their winning ways. Ed Wells (3-8) only allowed six hits on the day and Babe Ruth knocked a two-run triple in the third to open up the Yankees lead.

Philadelphia (AL) 16 Detroit (H) 1

The A's offense remains on fire, as they accrued 21 hits and five walks in a pasting of the Tigers. George Earnshaw (12-4) improved his record, plus he went 2-for-5 with a double. Max Bishop homered (#16), as did Al Simmons (#18) and Mickey Cochrane (#13) in the rout. The A's have now scored 60 runs in their last three games.

St. Louis (AL) (H) 5 Washington 3

The Nationals took the early lead, lost it, regained it, and then lost it for good, and now find themselves in a tie for first place in the AL with Philadelphia. Goose Goslin and Red Kress both drove in key runs in both the sixth and eighth innings to put the Browns ahead and Lefty Stewart (15-4) was the beneficiary.

Brooklyn (H) 2 St. Louis (NL) 1 (GM 1)

Chick Hafey hit a solo homerun in the top of the fourth to get the Cardinals an early lead, but Ray Phelps (7-3) kept the Cardinals bats quiet and waited for his teammates to respond. In the seventh Babe Herman singled, scored on an Ike Boone double, and then Del Bissonette drove home the eventual game-winner with a single.

Brooklyn (H) 8 St. Louis (NL) 6 (GM 2)

The Cardinals got off to a quick 5-0 lead, a George Watkins two-run homerun (#20) being the big hit. Then the Robins scored six times in the fourth, with Glenn Wright's three-run homerun putting the Robins ahead to stay. Both teams went through several relievers before this one was over, but the Robins held on to sweep the doubleheader.

New York (NL) (H) 4 Chicago (NL) 3

The Cubs scored first, but a Freddie Lindstrom three-run homerun (#7) in the sixth looked to like it would be enough for the Giants. Cliff Heathcote tied the game with a pinch-hit homerun in the top of the ninth, but in the bottom half of the inning, Mel Ott (#14) sent one into the stands for the game winner.

Pittsburgh 9 Philadelphia (NL) (H) 3

The Pirates had an early 3-1 lead but had to fight back to regain the lead at 4-3 after seven. Now into the Phillies bullpen, Pittsburgh put up a five-spot in the eighth. Adam Comorosky went 2-for-5 with a double and five RBI's.

Tuesday, July 22, 1930

Chicago (AL) (H) 10 Boston (AL) 2

Chicago got off to a fast start when second baseman Bill Cissell hit a two-run triple to spark a three-run first, and Dutch Henry (3-10) and the White Sox rolled on from there. Carl Reynolds went 4-for-5 with two doubles.

New York (AL) 23 Cleveland (H) 6 (GM 1)

The Yankees led 11-0 after the top of the third, and then they had a nine-run sixth. Babe Ruth went 3-for 5 with a homerun (#35), Bill Dickey went 5-for-7 with five RBI's, and Lou Gehrig went 5-for-6 with three doubles, a homerun (#29) and five RBI's. The Yankees hope they saved some for game two.

Cleveland (H) 8 New York (AL) 3 (GM 2)

Another Babe Ruth homerun (#36) and Red Ruffing (6-8) and the Yankees were cruising early with a 3-1 lead. The Indians finally scored in the bottom of the sixth, and then with two outs, light-hitting shortstop Jonah Goldman hit his first homerun of the season and all of a sudden the Indians had the lead and held on to split the doubleheader.

Philadelphia (AL) 9 Detroit (H) 3

The A's built an early 5-1 lead, held off a Detroit rally, and then Philadelphia piled on at the end for an easy win. Jimmie Foxx went 3-for-5 with a double, a homerun (#19), and four RBI's.

St. Louis (AL) (H) 10 Washington 3

Goose Goslin went 2-for-4 with a double, a homerun (#21), and three RBI's and took particular glee in knocking his former club out of first place. Dick Coffman (8-11) pitched eight strong innings and picked up the win.

Brooklyn (H) 3 St. Louis (NL) 0

Cardinals starter Bill Hallahan (7-10) made one mistake today and opposing starter Sloppy Thurston (3-1) hit a three run homerun off of it and that was all the scoring in this one.

Chicago (NL) 6 New York (NL) (H) 4 (GM 1)

The Cubs took an early 2-0 lead, fell behind when the Giants plated four in the third, but then rallied back with a three-run sixth to reclaim the lead. Charlie Root (12-5) went all the way to win game one of the doubleheader.

New York (NL) (H) 8 Chicago (NL) 3

Bill Terry knocked a three-run triple in the bottom of the first and Bill Walker (11-6) and the Giants took game two of the doubleheader. Ethan Allen went 4-for-5 with three runs scored to spark the Giants offense.

Pittsburgh 8 Philadelphia (NL) (H) 7

Three errors by centerfielder Denny Sothern and another by left fielder Lefty O'Doul spoiled what would have certainly been a Phillies victory. The last error in the ninth opened the door to a three-run inning and Erv Brame (5-7) got the win in relief.

Note: ATM had Fred Brickell starting in center field and Al Bool starting at catcher for Pittsburgh. Baseball-Reference.com had Lloyd Waner starting in center field and Rollie Hemsley behind the plate.

Wednesday, July 23, 1930

Chicago (AL) (H) 9 Boston (AL) 6

Catcher Bennie Tate was the hitting hero for the White Sox today. Tate had a three-run triple in the sixth to give Chicago the lead, and then he followed that up with a two-run double in the seventh to give the team a safe lead.

Cleveland (H) 6 New York (AL) 4

With two outs in the bottom of the ninth, Yankees reliever Lefty Gomez, facing replacement shortstop Ed Montague who was making only his third plate appearance of the season, induced an easy fly ball to left, only to see the ball just keep going until it cleared the fence, giving the Indians the win. Lou Gehrig became the first player to 150 hits on the season.

Note: Yankees Reliever Ownie Carroll, who had just come back from a two-week hiatus, said his arm wasn't right in the eighth and was removed from the game.

Philadelphia (AL) 9 Detroit (H) 0

46-year-old Jack Quinn (2-3) and Eddie Rommel combined on a three-hit shutout. Max Bishop had four walks in this game and has now walked in eight straight games.

Washington 11 St. Louis (AL) (H) 3

The Nationals had an uncharacteristic four errors in today's game, but with a five-run third and a five-run sixth, they were able to weather the storm. Joe Judge went 3-for-6 with a double and four RBI's to key the offense.

Boston (NL) (H) 6 Cincinnati 3 (GM 1)

The Braves recaptured the lead in the sixth and Fred Frankhouse (2-4) wouldn’t let the Reds back in the game and Boston took game one of the doubleheader. Wally Berger homered (#20) in the first.

Cincinnati 2 Boston (NL (H) 1 (GM 2)

Larry Benton (6-9) had some rough moment this season, but he certainly pitched well today, going all the way for the tough win. Third baseman Tony Cuccinello scored both of the Reds wins, the first on a solo homerun, the second by coming home on a Hod Ford single in the sixth.

St. Louis (NL) 5 Brooklyn 0

Ernie Orsatti, in right field today, drove in two runs with a double and a triple to lead the Cardinals offense. Syl Johnson (4-4) went all the way to salvage a victory for the Cardinals after three consecutive losses to the Robins.

Chicago (NL) 8 New York (NL) (H) 2

The Cubs were losing 2-1 after six complete but scored three in the seventh, two in the eighth, and two in the ninth to win going away. Cliff Heathcote hit a pinch-hit two-run homerun in the eighth to help salt the game away.

Philadelphia (NL) (H) 12 Pittsburgh 5 (GM 1)

Don Hurst went 4-for-5 with five RBI's, three of the RBI's coming on a third inning homerun that put the Phillies ahead to stay. Bernie Friberg also had a five-RBI day in support of Snipe Hansen (1-1).

Pittsburgh 16 Philadelphia (NL) (H) 12 (GM 2)

Erv Brame (6-7) went all the way in this one, but with Pittsburgh leading 14-4 heading into the bottom of the seventh, he took his foot off the gas a little but the Phillies were too far behind. Brame also went 4-for-5 with three runs and three RBI's to help his own cause. Lloyd Waner went 5-for-7 and is hitting .446 in his short time back.

Thursday, July 24, 1830

Chicago (AL) (H) 4 Washington 3

The Nationals have had some tough games recently and today was another one. Washington cruised into the bottom of the ninth with a 3-1 lead, then in the bottom of the ninth a lead-off single, pop-up one out, double RBI, pop-up two outs, double to tie the score, and a Bill Cissell single and an RBI and the White Sox win in a miracle ninth inning rally.

Philadelphia (AL) 9 Cleveland (H) 8

The A's built an early 7-2 lead and appeared to have a lock on their ninth consecutive win, but the Indians rallied with two in the fifth and then a four-spot in the seventh to take the lead. The A's quickly responded with two in the eighth, and reliever Eddie Rommel (7-3) shut down the Indians the rest of the way to pick up the win, plus Rommel hit the eighth inning triple that drove in the tying run and then later scored the eventual game-winner himself.

Detroit (H) 18 New York (AL) 17

Another "Wow!" game. At the end of three, the Yankees had a 5-2 lead. At the end of four, Detroit led 7-5. At the end of five, Detroit led 9-6. At the end of six, Detroit led 13-12. Both teams scored twice in the seventh, and then at the end of eight, the score was tied 17-17. In the bottom of the ninth Marty McManus doubled, and was then caught dead to rights trying to advance to third on a groundout to second, only to have second baseman Jimmie Reese throw it in the dirt and McManus was able to scamper home with the eventual game-winner. 42 hits, 13 walks, and a bunch of pitchers with whiplash and bruised egos.

St. Louis (AL) (H) 5 Boston (AL) 4

The Red Sox scored three times in the top of the ninth to tie the score, meaning every AL game today has had some come-back excitement. The excitement continued when newly acquired Alex Metzler walked to start the ninth, stole second, and was singled home by Goose Goslin, giving the hometown Browns fans something to cheer about.

Note: Boston center fielder Tom Oliver ran into the center field wall chasing a fly ball in the eighth and had to be removed from the game.

St. Louis (NL) 13 Boston (NL) (H) 9

Another game, another comeback. The Braves led 8-2 after the end of the fifth, and then the Cardinals offense got started. When the smoke had cleared catcher Jimmie Wilson emerged as the hitting star with a 3-for-5 game including two doubles and a homerun plus three runs scored and four RBI's.

Cincinnati 3 Brooklyn (H) 2 (GM 1)

The Reds had an early 2-0 lead, but a Babe Herman two-run homerun in the sixth tied the score at 2-2. In the ninth, Joe Stripp led off with a single, stole second, and then scored on a Tony Cuccinello single. Ray Kolp (9-3) went all the way for the Reds win.

Brooklyn (H) 12 Cincinnati 11 (13) (GM 2)

Another back-and-forth extravaganza! Harry Heilmann homered in the ninth to tie this one up and to send it to extra innings, and then both teams scored a single run in the eleventh. The Reds scored twice in the top of the thirteenth, but then Brooklyn responded with three to win the game and gain the split in the doubleheader. Glenn Wright got the game-tying hit in both the eleventh and the thirteenth and then scored the game-winner when singled home by Eddie Moore.

New York (NL) (H) 5 Pittsburgh 1

After a day full of come from behind games and last-minute rallies this game was comparatively dull. The Giants built an early 3-0 lead and Carl Hubbell (11-7) gave up eleven hits but was never really in trouble.

Philadelphia (NL (H) 6 Chicago (NL) 0

Claude Willoughby (3-8) lowered his ERA to 6.03 after throttling the powerful Cubs offense. Chuck Klein went 2-for-4 with a double and a homerun (#18) and two RBI's.

Friday, July 25, 1930

Washington 12 Chicago (AL) (H) 4

The Nationals led 6-0 after the second and continued to pour it on the White Sox from there. General Crowder (8-10) went all the way for the win plus he went 4-for-5 with a triple and two RBI's.

Note: Right fielder Sam Rice objected to a third strike call and was ejected in the fourth for arguing too strongly with the home plate umpire.

Philadelphia (AL) 22 Cleveland (H) 2

Al Simmons had quite a day - 6-for-6, six runs scored, eight RBI's (97), two doubles, and a pair of three-run homeruns (#19, #20). Jimmie Foxx went 5-for-7 with six RBI's (93) on two homeruns (#21, #22), and light-hitting shortstop Dib Williams, subbing for the injured Joe Boley, went 6-for-6 with three doubles and a homerun. Those three accounted for 17 of the 24 A's hits on the day. Lefty Grove (20-2) gave up a first-inning two-run homerun (#27) to Ed Morgan, but that was all the runs for Cleveland today.

Note: Left fielder Bob Seeds was injured when he bounced off the wall chasing Grove's double in the sixth inning and had to come out of the game.

New York (AL) 16 Detroit (H) 6

Lead-off hitter Earle Combs went 5-for-6 with five runs scored and #2 hitter Jimmie Reese went 5-for-6 with five runs scored, both effectively setting the plate for the Yankees all day. Sammy Byrd, aka "Base Ruth's legs," entered the game in left field to give Babe Ruth some rest, but in the ninth Byrd contributed a three-run homerun in the blow-out.

Boston (AL) 2 St. Louis (AL) (H) 1

Goose Goslin drove home Earl McNeely in the first on a sacrifice fly to give the Browns an early lead, but that was all Hod Lisenbee (10-6) would give up today. George Blaeholder (5-5) was very effective today as well, but the Red Sox tied it in the seventh and then in the ninth Bill Regan lead off with a double (#35), was sacrificed to third by Earl Webb, and then scored the eventual game-winner on a Cedric Durst sacrifice fly.

St. Louis (NL) 7 Boston (NL) (H) 1

St. Louis starter Flint Rhem (4-1) didn't allow a run until the ninth inning and the Cardinals won this one easily. Both teams know they will be facing each other in doubleheaders the next two days, so Bill Sherdel (4-8) went all the way for the Braves as well.

Cincinnati 14 Brooklyn (H) 9

Cincinnati started Red Lucas (11-6) got the scoring started with a three run homerun in the second as the Reds opened up a quick 7-0 lead and then expanded it to 14-4 heading into the bottom of the seventh. Brooklyn scored runs late to make it closer but to no avail.

New York (NL) (H) 9 Pittsburgh 0

New York starter Clarence Mitchell (4-3) gave up a first-inning single to Paul Waner and that was all the Pirates would get today. Freddie Lindstrom went 3-for-5 with a double and three RBI's to lead the offense.

Note: Left fielder Adam Comorosky took a pitch off the rubs in the first and was replaced by Fred Brickell.

Chicago (NL) 24 Philadelphia (NL) (H) 16

The Cubs batted around - twice - in the first inning and scored 14 runs, but the Phillies answered with six of their own in the bottom of the first (that's right - 14-6 after one inning). The game featured 44 hits and 15 walks, but the five Phillies errors might have been the difference in the end. Charlie Root (13-5) entered the game in the eighth to quash yet another Phillies rally and was credited with the win, despite the Cubs having a seven-run lead at the time (does BBW deploy 'scorers discretion'?).

Note: Third baseman Woody English was HBP in the top of the first and missed out on the offensive excitement.

Saturday, June 26, 1930

Chicago (AL) (H) 6 Washington 3

Smead Jolley and Red Barnes each drove in two runs to get the White Sox off to an early 6-1 lead and Pat Caraway (6-4) took it home from there.

Philadelphia (AL) 9 Cleveland (H) 5

Philadelphia extended their winning streak to eleven games, scoring five in the first, and then holding off the Indians the rest of the way. Mickey Cochrane went 3-for-5 with two doubles (#34, #35) and three RBI's (80) and Al Simmons went 3-for-5 with three RBI's (100) and homerun (#21) to lead the offense.

New York (AL) 5 Detroit (H) 3

George Pipgras (12-6) had a 4-0 lead and was pitching a no-hitter into the sixth but then a single, walk, and three-run homerun by infielder Bill Akers and we had us a ballgame. Pipgras did settle down to and keep Detroit scoreless for the remainder of the game. Babe Ruth hit homerun #37.

St. Louis (AL) (H) 7 Boston (AL) 2

Browns starter Lefty Stewart (16-4) throttled the Red Sox, plus drove in a key run to help build an early St. Louis lead. Red Kress went 2-for-3 with a double (#38) and a triple and drove in two runs (82).

St. Louis (NL) 7 Boston (NL) (H) 3 (GM 1)

Burleigh Grimes (8-7) continued his string of strong pitching appearances for the Cardinals, allowing only two hits to the Braves today. Charlie Gelbert went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI's, and two triples to spark the Cardinals offense.

St. Louis (NL) 5 Boston (NL) (H) 2 (GM 2)

Bill Hallahan (8-10) has had a rough year for the Cardinals with most of his wins coming in the blowout variety, but he avoided the bad inning in this one and got the complete game victory. Charlie Gelbert got his third triple of the day and drove in two more runs.

Cincinnati 3 Brooklyn (H) 1

Jakie May (5-9) is another pitcher that has had a pretty rough year, but he had the good stuff today as he gave up a first-inning run and then shut down the Robins for the rest of the game. Leo Durocher hit a two-run single in the fourth to put the Reds ahead to stay.

New York (NL) (H) 6 Pittsburgh 4

Freddie Fitzsimmons hit his fourth triple of the season in the second to give the Giants an early 2-0 lead, but when he was thrown out at home trying to score on a sacrifice fly attempt he was ejected for going a little overboard is his talking points. The Giants were forced to scramble but their bullpen was up to the task today and held off Pittsburgh for the victory.

Chicago (NL) 11 Philadelphia (NL) (H) 10

The Phillies scored four in the first and led 5-1 after three. The Cubs then scored five in the fourth and then four more in the fifth to blow it open, or so they thought. The Phillies elected to keep starter Phil Collins in the game, and Collins proceeded to hit two homeruns and drive in another run with a single, resulting in a 4-for-5 day with five RBI's.

Sunday, July 27. 1930

Washington 8 Chicago (AL) (H) 1

Firpo Marberry (17-2) didn't go all the way but still earned the win in this one. Sam Rice went 2-for-6 with a triple and three RBI's out of the lead-off spot.

Philadelphia (AL) 4 Cleveland (H) 3 (10)

Philadelphia relied on a few miracles on this one. Second baseman Max Bishop muffed an easy throw to first and opened the door for the Indians to score twice and take a 3-1 lead after the eighth. Jimmy Dykes then hit a two-out triple in the ninth to tie the score back up. In the tenth little-used catcher Wally Schang caught everyone by surprise when he yanked one down the line for his second homerun of the season. Cleveland wasn't done though, but right fielder Bing Miller threw out Charlie Jamieson for the third out as Jamieson attempted to score the game-tying run.

Detroit (H) 1 New York (AL) 0

Vic Sorrell (10-9) allowed only three Yankees hits and went all the way in this nail-biter. Red Ruffing (6-9) only allowed three hits also, but Bill Akers hit a sacrifice fly in the second to score Dale Alexander and that was the difference.

Boston (AL) 3 St. Louis (AL) (H) 2 (GM 1)

The Browns scored twice in the bottom of the ninth to make things tense, but couldn’t close the deal. Danny MacFayden (8-11) got the win in game one of the doubleheader.

St. Louis (AL) (H) 7 Boston (AL) 4 (GM 2)

Sam Gray (4-14) has been a punching bag most of the season but today he locked down the Red Sox and got the victory. Goose Goslin went 3-for-4 with a double (#29), a homerun (#22), and four RBI's (86) to lead the offense.

St. Louis (NL) 11 Boston (NL) (H) 2 (GM 1)

Shortstop Charlie Gelbert continued his hot series with a 4-for-5 day including two doubles and four RBI's. Syl Johnson (9-8) pitched well and got the game one victory.

St. Louis (NL) 6 Boston (NL) (H) 2 (GM 2)

The Cardinals swept consecutive doubleheaders from the Braves and now have a seven-game winning streak. Hi Bell (4-5) got the victory and backup catcher Gus Mancuso contributed two solo homeruns.

Philadelphia (NL) 12 Brooklyn (H) 9 (GM 1)

The Phillies led 6-1 heading into the bottom of the fourth, but an eight-spot put the Robins back on top 9-6. Undaunted, the Phillies scored four times in the sixth and continued on to take game one of the doubleheader. Hal Elliott (2-8) pitched five-plus stellar innings in relief to pick up the win. Chuck Klein went 3-for-5 with two homeruns (#20, #21) and five RBI's (101) for the game.

Brooklyn (H) 4 Philadelphia (NL) 2 (GM 2)

Dolf Luque (5-4) went all the way and got the Robins back on the winning track in game two. Chuck Klein hit his third homerun (#22) of the day in a losing cause.

Chicago (NL) 7 Cincinnati (H) 5

The Reds led most of the game but a late Cubs rally put them ahead in the top of the ninth. Bud Teachout (7-5) got the win, but gave up a run in the ninth and left the bases loaded before the third out could be recorded.

Note: Reds reliever Ken Ash (0-1) came up lame in the ninth and had to be replaced, but not until the go-ahead runs had been safely placed on base, so Ash also took the loss in this one.

New York (NL) (H) 3 Pittsburgh 2 (GM 1)

The Pirates scored twice in the first and it looked like that would be enough for Heinie Meine (4-7) today, but Freddie Lindstrom and Bill Terry drove in runs in the bottom of the eighth to put the Giants ahead. Joe Heving (2-4) got the win in relief. Terry went 4-for-4 to get his average back over .400 (.402).

Pittsburgh 4 New York (NL) (H) 3 (GM 2)

Pete Donohue (2-11) pitched well for New York but could have used some run support in this one. The Pirates did manage to score four times, the last run coming on a George Grantham solo homerun in the top of the ninth. This came in handy when Shanty Hogan hit a solo homerun in the bottom of the ninth to make things close. Glenn Spencer (5-5) got the complete game victory in game two.

Game Management

Given that APBA BBW 5.75 is a game it is necessary to note what settings will need to be set and what other gameplay limitations need to be acknowledged. Beyond just settings, it is a matter managerial discretion and limitation to ensure these are used but not abused. Stadiums and Rain-Outs I have installed period appropriate stadiums for all the teams and they have all been set to Domed to ensure we don’t have rain-outs. Actual 1930 rain-outs are already worked into the schedule as is. The stadium's files I have collected are in a semi-compacted format and need to be uncompressed before they can be used: Copy the <name>.DI_ and <name>.IN_ files to a temporary directory Open a DOS window (i.e, a CMD window) CD to your temp directory Use the expand command, as such: Expand <name>.DI_ <name>.DIB Expand <name>.IN_ <name>.INI Copy the newly expanded DIB and INI files to the Ballparks folder where the game is installed Assign...

Week 20 (08/25/1930 - 08/31/1930)

Monday, August 25, 1930 There are a couple of light days coming up due to travel. It will take a couple of days to sort it out, but the Midwest teams in both leagues will be facing each other, while the eastern teams in both leagues will do likewise. St. Louis (AL) 3 Detroit (H) 2 Detroit Hurler Tommy Bridges (0-1) made his first ML start today. He gave up a run in the first and in the second, but settled down after that, not allowing another run until the top of the seventh. Unfortunately for Bridges, Dick Coffman (10-16) kept the Tigers off the scoreboard until the seventh and the Browns won in a close one. Philadelphia (AL) (H) 3 Washington 0 After a single game in Washington yesterday the two teams took a train to Philadelphia for games today and tomorrow. Lefty Grove (27-2) held the Nationals to three hits and center fielder Bing Miller drove in two runs with a double and a homerun to give Grove the run support he needed. Miller has 94 RBI's on the ...

Week 23 Recap

Week 23 is completed and it is just about time to start wrapping things up here. There are a couple of travel days coming up, there are a few odds and ends games left to play, and then everyone has their final series to end the season. Cincinnati still has seven games to pay, but most teams have 3-5, so the standings are probably pretty close to final. Several teams are trying out some youngsters and several veterans are seeing their major league careers winding down. Philadelphia did clinch the AL pennant, but in the NL Brooklyn has been eliminated and Chicago is holding on by a slim thread. St. Louis swept three games in Brooklyn to start the week and they have been on a hot streak at the perfect time of the season. Brooklyn's offense has slowed without Johnny Frederick at the top, and Chicago is missing Charley Root anchoring their rotation, and neither team has played well since they lost these critical players. New York may dream of what could have been, but they are ...
